Places is the second book in a series commissioned by the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians as part of a cultural preservation initiative to awaken their language, Takelma, after 100 years. The books present vocabulary in the context of traditional tribal tales, this one features the Legend of Crater Lake.
