This diorama was made to celebrate the completion of a six book series commissioned by the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians as part of a cultural preservation initiative to awaken their language, Takelma, after 100 years. The diorama brings some of the artwork from the Animals book to a 3D form.
